Project XXX is an Arts Council England and Lime Arts Funded piece of multimedia theatre created by Kim Wiltshire and Paul Hine. The play explores the mainstreaming of internet pornography and the effect this may be having on young people’s emotional and sexual relationships.
During 2011 and 2012 Kim and Paul worked across the North West running workshops and discussing the issues with young people. The research collected forms the basis of the play. In January 2012 The Octagon Theatre, Bolton, supported us to present a rehearsed reading and later that year we invited audiences to two scratch performances, one in the Octagon’s Studio theatre and one at the Axis Arts Centre in Crewe. We invited audience feedback, and we have redrafted and recreated the piece of theatre for an initial 10 performance tour of the North West of England.
There will be update posts here on the progress of the tour, and please do come along and join in the debate!
